When asked the question of what is my Tintern abbey, I can only think of one place
of the entire world; a small lagoon on the big island of Hawaii a fair distance
from the town of Weliweli. I lived in Hawaii for the first four years of my life and have been back
twice to visit. Each time I have been back I have visited this spot. The farthest back I am capable of remembering, is sitting in the front hatch of a
kayak as my father paddled himself and me to this special place.
